So we stumbled across the Catch Cafe in Trinidad at 9 pm and what can I say? First thing I saw was a guy hand battering big pieces of cod before placing it in the fryer, and I knew then this shack/cafe was a gem. To start with, the employees are really comfortable and friendly. The guy behind the counter said the rock cod was "swimming this morning." The fries are sprinkled with a sugar and salt blend, which makes them taste a little like sweet potato fries or kettle corn. Unfortunately, fried food doesn't photograph well, but take my word for it. This is the best fish and chips I've ever had.
